Adrenaline Levels About to Go Higher
Events like the WBC World Champion fight have a special atmosphere, and for those who are not able to attend, the fight will be televised live in Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom so that more and more people can experience the adrenaline-fueled spectacle in real time.
Who are the fighters? Hannah Rankin is a well-known professional boxer from Scotland with multiple titles under her belt. She currently ranks as the world’s tenth best active female super welterweight, carrying WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the IBO female super welterweight and WBA female super middleweight titles. Her opponent has had just as impressive results. A former Olympian boxer, Sweden’s Patricia Berghult is now the WBO World Welterweight Champion. She debuted back in 2015 and also won the WBC Silver Middleweight title.
The WBC Interim Junior Middleweight Championship scheduled within the SIGMA event will consist of nine fights including a “last man standing” fight organised for charity – to help the Maltese boxer star Steve Martin. Breaks between rounds are suspended, meaning boxing will continue until one of the fighters is knocked out.
